Riley Greene is one of the main rewards worth chasing in MLB The Show 26 September Spotlight Drop 4. His 99 OVR Spotlight card arrived on October 2, giving Diamond Dynasty players another strong left-handed bat for the outfield. Before spending MLB Stubs on an expensive lineup upgrade, it is worth working through the program and seeing what Greene can add to your squad for free.

Riley Greene Card Overview

This version of Greene represents the Detroit Tigers and has LF as his primary position, with CF eligibility as well. He bats and throws left-handed, making him an easy fit for many Diamond Dynasty lineups.

His hitting attributes are where the card really gets interesting:

• 117 Contact vs R
• 125 Contact vs L
• 88 Power vs R
• 125 Power vs L
• 92 Vision
• 99 Discipline

The 125 Contact against lefties is especially useful, while the 125 Power gives Greene plenty of pop in favorable matchups. He is not just a left-handed platoon bat, either. His contact numbers against both sides make him playable in an everyday lineup.

Seven Quirks to Know

Greene comes with seven active quirks that can influence different hitting situations:

• Road Warrior
• First-Pitch Hitter
• Dead Red
• Breaking Ball Hitter
• Situational Hitter
• Night Player
• Table Setter

These quirks give him some extra value when facing different pitch types and game situations. If you are planning to buy MLB Stubs, there is no need to rush into buying another outfielder before testing Greene first.

Defense and Baserunning

Greene's defense is decent, although his card is clearly designed around offense rather than elite fielding or speed.

His key defensive and baserunning ratings are:

• 75 Fielding
• 77 Arm Strength
• 63 Speed
• 12 Stealing
• 15 Baserunning Aggression

Left field is probably his most natural home. He can play center field when needed, but 63 Speed means you may prefer a faster defender there. His low stealing and baserunning aggression also make him a poor choice if your lineup relies heavily on taking extra bases.

How to Unlock 99 OVR Riley Greene

Greene requires 140 Program Points in September Spotlight Drop 4. The easiest approach is to combine Moments with the regular stat missions rather than relying on the optional Extreme challenge.

The main missions include:

• Earn 10,000 PXP with any players.
• Earn 2,500 PXP with Spotlight or Topps Now players.
• Record 30 hits with primary-position infielders.
• Collect 50 total bases with primary-position outfielders.
• Pitch 18 innings with any pitchers.
• Record 30 strikeouts with any pitchers.

Each standard mission awards 30 Program Points. These objectives can be completed across Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest, Diamond Quest, Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, and other supported modes.

Using eligible Spotlight or Topps Now players whenever possible can help you stack several objectives during the same games. That makes the grind feel much shorter and leaves more cheap MLB Stubs available for other roster needs.

Greene Also Helps Unlock Carter Jensen

Getting Greene is not only about adding another outfielder. He is also required for the September Lightning collection alongside Teoscar Hernandez, Adael Amador, and Brandon Lowe. Completing that collection rewards 99 OVR Carter Jensen.

After unlocking Greene, you can also earn 500 PXP with his Spotlight card. Completing that bonus objective gives 500 additional Program Points, helping push your September Spotlight progression toward the final pack reward.

Is Riley Greene Worth Unlocking?

For most Diamond Dynasty players, yes. Greene combines strong contact, excellent power against left-handed pitching, and useful quirks with flexible LF/CF eligibility. His defense and speed are not elite, but his offensive profile gives him a clear role in a run-producing lineup.

If you are comparing him with cards available through the market, check Greene first before looking at MLB The Show Stubs for sale options. His free program path, plus his importance for the Carter Jensen collection, makes him one of the more useful rewards in September Spotlight Drop 4.
